Tiffany Wisteria Notebook/Journal Lined
Louis Comfort Tiffany (1848-1933) was an American artist and designer who studied in New York and Paris and is most associated with the Art Nouveau movement. His unique creations include stained glass windows and lamps, glass mosiacs, blown glass, ceramics, jewellery, enamels and metalwork. This journal cover celebrates the brilliant, gem-like colours and the elegant window panel designs created by Tiffany and his artisans during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Using a technical innovation in glass production involving opalescent glass in a variety of colours, Tiffany eliminated the need for painted decoration. The incorporation of leadwork as an integral part of the designs and the subtle and exquisite differences in shading within each protion of glass created objects of magical beauty.
