Dorothea's background as a professional vocal coach, a seasoned performer and an award-winning songwriter serve as excellent background for her role as artist - healer - teacher. She majored in piano and voice at the Indiana University School of Music in Bloomington. She received her B.S. in Music Education from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. She served as head of the music department at The Liggett Private School in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, then moved to New York City to pursue a career in music, performing on and off Broadway, and composing for the pop music and advertising markets.
Her song "Love's Lines, Angles and Rhymes," recorded by the Fifth Dimension, was certified a Gold Record by the Recording Industry Association of America. She earned a Clio Award for writing and singing the "L'Air Du Temps" perfume commercial, and won the award for Best Song at the Cannes Film Festival for the film "Jeremy." She was twice elected to the Board of the Songwriters Guild of America, and as a composer is a member of the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers. From her own recording studio, she independently produces music for CDs, commercials, film and original properties.
Through a quarter of a century of traveling and traversing through different venues of creativity in the mainstream and entertainment fields, Dorothea emerged as an Advanced Energy Healer, facilitating others to open up to greater Self-expression in every area of their lives. She shows people how to "plug" into their own electricity, learning an advanced way to tap their creative source to manifest prosperity. Clients jump-start to a "higher frequency" of living. Dorothea sends them back out into the world to re-create the experience in their daily lives. This work is called ENERGY TRANS-MISSIONS, where she empowers her clients to receive the "inner tools" that facilitate them in taking responsibility for their own growth and development. For some she plants the seed; for others, she awakens their natural healership. Dorothea believes that everyone has natural "Creative Genius and Healership." Her pioneering work is a "bridge" to the next step of human evolution in the 21st Century.
During 25 years of success behind the scenes of the entertainment industries and seeing through the illusions of glamour, she simultaneously explored the inner worlds of the heart, mind, body & spirit connection by completing two major masters trainings in two years: One in Music Therapy, and the other in Advanced Energy Healing. Music Therapy taught her how to move blocked energy through sound, and Advanced Energy Healing taught her how to identify and clear levels of dis-ease, mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually.
The greatest teaching of all is that within each of us lies the "Art of Co-Creatorship", where each of us can take conscious responsibility for how we put ourselves and our creations out into the world. When one "Awakens" to his/her own Mastery, it becomes very clear that understanding how to embrace self confidence, while expressing power through the heart becomes a continual process of evolvement to higher levels of intuition, learning, awareness and accelerated manifestation. Dorothea's experience is a living testimony of her work.
In workshops and lectures, Dorothea demonstrates how to use breath and sound to release blocked energy. This guided process replenishes the body on a cellular level. She offers simple and profound tools that anyone can learn.
