Founded in 1970 by the late Rev. Roshi Jiyu-Kennett, Shasta Abbey of Mt. Shasta is a monastery of the Order of Buddhist Contemplatives in the Soto Zen and Mahayana traditions. Training at the abbey encompasses the practice of Serene Reflection Meditation, the keeping of Buddhist Precepts, and the integration of meditation and Buddhist teaching with every activity of one’s daily life. |
